The Center for the Arts in Natick is honored to be hosting the artistic debut of Harriet Hammond Elliston. This exceptional woman has led a full and rich life and whether involved with her family, community or politics, has always been able to pause and appreciate the natural world around her. Most fortunately for us, this Renaissance woman shared her special view of the world in the wonderful series of watercolors that make up this show.

Those who have brought this show to life, including the artist herself and her granddaughter, have done so to offer us the opportunity not only to view the fruits of her creativity on display here, but also to connect with the creative spirit behind the works. By offering us the example of a life lived creatively, Harriet Hammond Elliston invites us to contemplate the creative possibilities awaiting us within our own lives.

It is in this spirit that The Center for the Arts in Natick is pleased to announce the establishment of The Harriet Hammond Elliston Fund to honor an extraordinary woman and an extraordinary life. The income from this restricted fund will help to underwrite the Center's visual arts program. If you would like to contribute to the fund, please make a check payable to the Arts Center and note that is specifically for the establishment of this fund.
